Twitter is the technological equivalent of a “town hall.” One billionaire entrepreneur coined it as such. That’s why Elon Musk, a “self-proclaimed free-speech absolutist,” decided to buy the company. He saw the radical culture inside Twitter as a true threat to freedom and democracy.
Since taking over Twitter in late October, Musk has turned the social media world on its head. One of his first orders of business was to clear away the excess baggage. Musk carved away the fat, so to speak. Hundreds of useless Twitter employees were let go.
His rightful reduction of an unnecessarily bloated workforce sparked outrage. Some “ex-Twitter” employees even cried. They cringed at the idea of actually having to work for their paycheck. But cutting costs and reducing the size of an inflated staff aren’t the most important changes.
Musk’s primary focus was to stop the unhealthy censorship of free speech. That’s his first and foremost goal. He’s been hard at work doing it. The new “Chief Twit,” as he calls himself, started by welcoming back numerous conservatives who were banned from Twitter.
These people simply had views and opinions that differed from the authoritarian, left-wing ideology. They were a threat to the progressive left. These people could not be allowed to share their views. President Trump topped the list.
However, there were hundreds of conservatives whose accounts were terminated. It was the biggest trampling of free speech in the history of our country. It was wrong. Elon Musk set out to fix it, and fix it he has.
While he used a Twitter poll before making a decision, most believed he would reinstate President Trump’s Twitter account, regardless. He has. He also reversed the controversial suspension of The Babylon Bee Twitter account.
The Babylon Bee is a humorous entity, which enjoys poking fun at various things. They were slammed for one tweet in particular. All they did was post a reference to a Joe Biden appointee. They named “Rachel Levine” as its “man of the year.”
Levine is openly transgender and has a rather bizarre personality. However, the Bee’s post was a joke. They were censored for having a humorous opinion. Musk sees this as a profound attack on free speech. By reinstating The Babylon Bee on Twitter, he’s doing something about it.
However, despite all the conservative reinstatements, liberal talking heads are wondering where all the left-leaning liberal reinstatements are. That’s actually a very honorable question. So, why wouldn’t Elon Musk, if he is a true free speech absolutist, reinstate liberals as well?
Well, according to bestselling conservative author and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza, there’s an excellent reason. The reason is that there aren’t any radical left-wing accounts to reinstate. They never got suspended or terminated in the first place.
The liberal tank at Twitter was rigged to censor and squash conservative speech. They had no intention of curbing the radical leftist agenda of progressives. These were their buddies! D’Souza posted a tweet referencing the strange lack of liberal account reinstatements.
D’Souza tweeted, “We don’t hear much about Democrats and leftists being let back on Twitter. Why? Because they were never kicked off. Their lies and misinformation simply escaped all scrutiny.”
“Censorship has been deployed as a one-way operation against conservatives.” Using his trademark, one-word response, Musk tweeted, “Correct.” Cuts right to the chase. In this instance, the moaning and complaining by the radical left has actually exposed the truth.

It has sealed the guilty verdict. There haven’t been big announcements of liberal accounts earning Twitter reinstatement. Musk hasn’t had to justifiably correct these wrongs because there aren’t any. Twitter was a liberal cesspool with the goal of diluting the conservative voice.
The lack of liberal accounts available for reinstatement is very revealing. While proclaiming to be an open voice for all opinions, Twitter was guilty of censorship, the greatest threat to democracy. But no longer, because there is a new sheriff in town. He’s called the “Chief Twit”!
