Gov. DeSantis Take Huge Step to Protect Our Children from Dangers of Communism

Can this guy get any more awesome!?

Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis recently signed three bills aimed at expanding American student's understanding of Civics. The bills offered similar themes and would affect students from kindergarten through college.

The goal was to allow children to hear a more comprehensive discussion on politics and government.

One bill requires primary schools to offer lessons on communist and totalitarian governments. The governor stated he believed the instructions were necessary so children could understand the value of democracy and why so many people risk so much to immigrate to the United States.

Another bill aimed at state universities would force the schools to allow students and teachers to discuss conservative ideologies. The goal of the signing was to keep free speech alive on college campuses, where the school administrations have previously turned away conservative lecturers or student groups with right-leaning ideologies. Governor DeSantis feels that students should learn about all political opinions and belief systems.

An additional bill signed by the governor would ensure a fairer civics curriculum. Students would have more complete civics instructions, experience programs like Portraits in Patriotism, and have a requirement to pass an assessment exam on civic literacy.

Gov. DeSantis has been on a roll lately and personally, if President Trump decides that he won't run again in 2024, but DeSantis does run, I would be a very happy man because he would absolutely kill it. I think he would win also, but that's if - and only if - we can make sure that the elections are actually safe and secure because otherwise, they'll just pull the same stunt that they did in 2020.

Thankfully, there are a handful of states that are really doing something about guaranteeing the integrity of future elections, I just hope that it will be enough to make a real difference.
