After years of yelling and screaming from the Democrats in Congress and the media about Trump’s collusion with the Russians, there is finally some concrete news of attempts to interfere with the 2016 election.
Even better, it involves the Ukrainians. And a high-ranking U.S. politician currently campaigning for President of the United States.
A recently released audio tape recorded in 2016 contains the voice of former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko laughing with the Presidential candidate about interfering with the 2016 U.S. Presidential election. The other person on the auto tape? None other than former Vice President Joe Biden.
As Big League Politics reports,
“Poroshenko and Biden talked on Aug. 19, 2016 about the release of the infamous ‘black ledger’ allegedly showing how former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort received illicit payments from former Ukrainian President Yanykovych. They cackled about how the entire document release was orchestrated.
“’And other thing, it’s just a joke. We release the important documents from the former Regions Party,’ Poroshenko said to Biden.”
CDMedia had this take on the tapes:
“According to Poroshenko, taking adviser Yanukovych Manfort to Trump’s team was a bad idea: ‘And one more thing, just as a joke. We published documents of the former Party of Regions. As I understand it, one of Mr. Trump’s key advisers, Paul Manafort, resigned today … As for me, it was a bad idea to take Advisor Yanukovych to Trump’s team.’
“Poroshenko clearly said: we published. This is important, as it can be evidence that it was Poroshenko who led the intervention operation.”
One wonders whether this was a quid pro quo or simply one corrupt politician helping another out. Don’t expect any outrage from the mainstream media, however. Despite that, if this story gets any sort of widespread coverage, Joe Biden may have no hope of winning coming November.
