LeBron James Gets Slammed for Tweet About the New Twitter Owner Elon Musk

LeBron James is a superbly good basketball player. There are thousands of kids who are “good basketball players.” However, most of these talented athletes don’t try to tell everyone else how to act and think. Because he’s very good at a sport, LeBron James thinks he can.

The issue is, while LeBron may know basketball, he clearly doesn’t know how other people feel about life in general. The Los Angeles Lakers’ star player consistently tweets about his feelings on a number of controversial topics. That’s perfectly fine.

However, James invariably attempts to tell everyone else what their opinion on the subject should be. Again, LeBron may know basketball, but he clearly doesn’t know diddley about how other people should feel.

Recently, James called out the new owner of the Twitter social media platform. James has a right to his opinions about the world’s richest man. However, trying to insist that others believe the same way about Elon Musk’s purchase of the social media giant is just plain stupid.

It’s both ignorant and insensitive. But this isn’t the first time James has made stupid, politically charged comments. He’s been notorious as a “divider,” not a “uniter.” Many believe LeBron James’ “insanely stupid” tweets are dividing the nation.

Once, after he met Michael Jordan for the first time, James proclaimed the famous NBA star as the “black Jesus.” Seriously, comparing an NBA legend to the Christ is a rather lengthy reach. But that’s how “LeBron rolls.” He reaches out into the absolute realm of insanity.

After losing in game six of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals in 2009, James showed how unsportsmanlike he can be. When asked about his refusal to shake hands after the game, James responded, “I’m a competitor. That’s what I do.”

The sore loser continued by saying, “It doesn’t make sense for me to go over and shake somebody’s hand.” This egotistical individual was once quoted in GQ saying, “But I mean, even my family gets spoiled at times watching me doing things that I do, on and off the court.”

Sports writer David Hookstead tweeted “LeBron James doxxed a heroic police officer and implied he should go to prison for life. Now, he’s concerned about hate speech. Did he ask China’s permission before sending this tweet?”

James’ insensitive tweets rarely take into account the full picture. His attack on the new Twitter owner is a prime example. There was supposedly a rash of instances where tweets were made using the “n-word.” Many believe they were triggered by bots to test Twitter’s resolve.

None of the mechanisms in place for years on Twitter have changed. So, if any form of racial hate speech is slipping past the algorithms, it has nothing to do with Elon Musk. Social media exploded with condemnation for LeBron’s idiotic assessment.

Jason Whitlock tweeted, “LeBron only wants to hear the N-word in rap music. It’s a term of endearment in rap. When LeBron dropped the N-word on HBO’s The Shop, it was a good thing. But now it’s scary AF. Gotcha.”

Musk confirmed that, “To be super clear, we have not yet made any changes to Twitter’s content moderation policies.” Things are operating just as they always have. But LeBron jumped all over the new owner as if Musk had something to do with a batch of insensitive comments.

With the plight of his Los Angeles Lakers in question, maybe LeBron should focus more on basketball. It appears it’s the best place for him to target his energies. Furthermore, it’s clearly about the only thing LeBron James knows anything about.
