Mayor Of The Worst City In America Declares It A Trump Free City [Video]

Rahm Emanuel, mayor of Chicago, he publicly stated that his city is a "Trump-free zone" during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" stating that he intends to stop President Trump never steps a foot in what is probably the worst city in America.

"Our motto: A city he'll never sleep in. We don't want him," Emanuel further said.

"Look, Donald Trump is driving forward looking through the rearview mirror, and I'm not going that way because I want my city going that way and I want it to be a Trump-free zone," he continued.

It's funny, considering how freaking dangerous Chicago has become, racking up 700+ murders in 2016 and well over 400 by August of 2017. Death, mayhem, destruction and he thinks his city doesn't need President Donald Trump? Give me a break!

Tell ya what, Emanuel... do it. Please, never make him feel welcome there. The rest of the country where he's supported will continue to thrive.

And I would criticize Stephen Colbert for this move but at this point it's just par for the course.

As reported by Newsweek:

The string of killings has put Chicago’s homicide rate ahead of the pace set in 2016. There were 781 homicides in 2016, but the city didn’t see its 400th killing until August. According to a homicide database compiled by the Chicago Sun-Times, at least two homicides have occurred per day so far in 2017.

Only 38 of the victims so far have been women. Victim range in age from as young as 2 months to 78 years. Among the 36 people who were shot over the weekend was a 4-year-old boy who suffered a wound to the arm. He has been listed in good condition.

Gun violence has been the biggest cause of the huge homicide number in Chicago so far this year. Since January, more than 2,100 people across the city have been shot. Last year, Chicago tracked over 3,000 shooting incidents.
