Over the weekend, chaos unfolded as two groups of protesters gathered in southern California, 30 miles southeast of downtown LA.
Trump supporters made up one group and Caravan4Justice from Black Lives Matter also gathered. There was tension, according to social media reports, as both groups scuffled.
The pro-Trump group was chanting "USA" when a white car drove through the group before her vehicle came to a standstill. Suddenly the woman behind the wheel rammed her foot onto the pedal and mowed through the crowd. Two people - a man and a woman - were injured and rushed to the hospital, however, their injuries were non-life-threatening, according to Carrie Braun speaking on behalf of the Orange County Sherriff's Department.
"They ran somebody over," witnesses were heard screaming in videos from the scene.
Crowd members chased after the car, and hit it with flag poles, smashing the front windshield and breaking the back windshield with a flagpole sticking out of it according to a report by the Register. Seconds later, police intervened and caught the female driver, confirming she was a member of Caravan4Justice.

She is currently being held at the Orange County Jail, and it is unclear whether an attorney is defending her.
Black Lives Matter protesters had gathered at the Yorba Linda public library parking lot to demonstrate against racism and police brutality. The counter-protestors rallying in support for U.S. President Donald Trump confronted the BLM protestors.
There were 250-300 people present according to various press reports. Braun said that the assembly was declared as unlawful at some points and orders were given for the dispersal of the crowd.
